Karuizawa “36 Views of Mount Fuji” Full Collection – 1999–2000 Vintages | Fugaku Sanjurokkei Series (36 Bottles)
A once-in-a-lifetime collection uniting all 36 releases from the legendary Karuizawa Fugaku Sanjurokkei (“36 Views of Mount Fuji”) series, inspired by Katsushika Hokusai’s iconic 19th-century woodblock prints. Distilled between 1999 and 2000 and bottled from single sherry casks at natural cask strength, these whiskies represent the final era of Karuizawa Distillery - a masterpiece of Japanese craftsmanship, art, and heritage.
Each bottle in the collection is adorned with a unique label depicting one of Hokusai’s 36 Views of Mount Fuji, making this set not only a whisky lover’s dream but also a complete artistic statement - a bridge between Japan’s cultural past and its modern distilling legacy.
The series showcases natural cask strength whiskies ranging between 59.2% and 61.4% ABV, distilled from Japanese malted barley, aged in sherry casks, and bottled by Karuizawa prior to its closure. With only a few complete sets known to exist, this is among the rarest and most collectible whisky collections ever produced.

About the Distillery
Founded in 1955 at the foot of an active volcano, Karuizawa Distillery produced whisky in limited quantities with a focus on sherry-cask maturation and Japanese precision. Its small-scale production, use of Scottish barley, and traditional pot stills resulted in a spirit of unparalleled richness and intensity. Since the distillery’s closure in 2000, Karuizawa bottlings have become some of the most sought-after and valuable whiskies in the world, treasured as liquid time capsules of Japan’s golden whisky age.
