Ki Noh Bi Edition 13 – Karuizawa Cask Aged Japanese Dry Gin
Noh Mask: “Kasshiki”
This is the 13th edition in the prestigious Ki Noh Bi series, a collection of limited bottlings that beautifully marry the tradition of Japanese gin with the aesthetics of Noh theatre. Crafted at the renowned Kyoto Distillery, this expression features a specially formulated version of KI NO BI gin made with 11 botanicals distilled in six distinct flavour categories, each handled separately for precision and clarity.
What sets Edition 13 apart is its dual cask maturation: one component aged in an ex-Karuizawa sherry butt, the other in a rare Mizunara oak puncheon. The result is a gin of remarkable complexity and character - where delicate Japanese botanicals meet the depth and richness of whisky-aged wood.
Expect aromas of dried fruit, soft spices, and subtle floral notes, leading to a silky palate where sherry warmth and Mizunara elegance blend into a refined, contemplative finish. This edition remains faithful to the spirit of KI NO BI while adding an entirely new dimension through careful cask aging.
