From the lush island of Marie Galante comes Sloth, the sixth chapter of The Sins series — a rare agricole rhum born of patience, silence, and time itself. Distilled in 2012 from fresh sugarcane juice in Müller bain-marie copper pot stills by Michele Lunardon, this single cask rhum rested for 13 long tropical years in ex-bourbon oak. Bottled in July 2025 at cask strength (58.8% ABV) and without additives, it is an unfiltered glimpse into the purest expression of Guadeloupe’s rum-making soul.

Only 185 bottles exist — the oldest and only independent release of its kind to date. Complex and evocative, Sloth unfurls in waves of smoky spice, honeyed sweetness, precious woods, ripe tropical fruits, and ethereal notes that seem to hover between waking and dreaming.

With its hand-drawn illustration and story woven into The Sins collection, this edition embodies contemplation, indulgence, and the unhurried rhythms of the Caribbean.

Deep within the jungles of Marie Galante, two silent Creole Müller stills stand sentinel beside an overgrown warehouse. Rust cloaks their copper skins, spiderwebs veil hazy windows, and the heavy. humid air shimmers like a living curtain - thick with a leaden sloth that blurs the boundary between sleep and waking. 

In the summer of 2012, a solitary Italian distiller conjured a glowing spirit from long-fermented sugarcane juice and laid it to rest in an oak cask, deep within the legendary RVMG warehouse. There, thirteen tropical years of heat and humidity forged an old-style rhum of smoky spice, honeyed sweetness, and a restless flintstone fire.

When this rare RRL cask was finally liberated - the oldest and only independent release to date - its complex aromatic oils - notes of mint, precious woods, overripe mangoes, and a wisp of ether - rose like a veiling mist, enveloping the senses. With the first sip, the world melts away into a fevered dream of rustling palms, distant drums, and Gwada's eternal heartbeat.
