About the Distillery
Located on the west bank of the Demerara River in Guyana, Uitvlugt Distillery operated until 2000 and was known for housing some of the world’s oldest and most iconic wooden stills, including the Port Mourant and Savalle stills. As the distilling operations of Guyana were gradually consolidated into Diamond Distillery, Uitvlugt’s doors closed, but its legacy lives on through independent bottlers like Velier, who captured its essence in rare, highly prized expressions such as this.
